Editorial Writing as a Catalyst for Discussion of Important Issues




Aleski has been teaching English and journalism and advising the school newspaper since 2002 at Freehold (N.J.) Township High School.

She has a bachelor’s degree in English from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and a master’s degree in education from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Before beginning her career in teaching, Aleski worked as an editorial assistant at John Wiley and Sons in New York.

In 2005, she completed the ASNE High School Journalism Institute at the University of Texas at Austin. In 2004, she was received a National Endowment of the Humanities fellowship to study in London.

Her hobbies include writing, dancing, traveling and karaoke.
