Coronado teacher passed along her passion for journalism to her students

When Marjorie Wilson Andrea was the journalism teacher at Coronado High School, a sign above her classroom door read, “Enter at your own risk: Your whole life may be changed.”

Scott Pelley, who sits today in Walter Cronkite’s chair at the “CBS Evening News” and is a “60 Minutes” correspondent, was one of her students. His life serves as an excellent example of what the sign meant....

... Marjorie Wilson Andrea, who died on May 29 in Midlothian at the age of 89, retired from the Lubbock Independent School District in 1984 and moved to the Rio Grande Valley.
