To
get started
To apply, go
to this page. We will need :
- The
completed form/online ticket
- A school credit card or a school check for $100
(We do not accept POs.). We will also accept personal
credit card or personal checks provided the teacher
will be reimbursed.
- One
copy of the most recent edition
of your school newspaper (or URL if your newspaper
is
online). If you do not have paper, write "No
paper yet" on the application.

ASNE
and McClatchy/Tribune Information Services have teamed
up to offer a wire service to high school newspapers that
dramatically improves the resources available to scholastic
journalism.

Once
you do a search and are presented with a list of
material, click the JPG (or similar) link on the
item of your choice. You will THEN be presented with
the request for your login and password information.
If you want to do another search, hit the
back button to COME BACK to this page and search
again. If you search on MCT Campu you'll get
results you're not allowed to download.
Having trouble?
- Forget
your user name or password? Go to mctcampus.com and click
Reset in the top right. Your user name is the e-mail
address you registered with. Type a new password
twice. It will e-mail you a link. Click or copy
and paste that link in your browser and go there.
You're done.
- Does
the service say you need to log on? That's
what it says when your login isn't valid for
what you're trying to download. You
have access to two weeks' worth of visuals. For
older material, you need to purchase the archive
service from MCT directly. Click Subscribe on the

MCT
Campus is provided to hundreds of college
newspapers for an annual fee. Through an
exclusive arrangement with ASNE, MCT Campus
is offering stories, photos, graphics,
illustrations and Web content to high school
newspapers.
ASNE Foundation is charging
a one-time application fee of $100. There
are no other charges.
Every
week, MCT Campus moves about 125 news and
feature stories, 20 story packages, five
news graphics and four feature graphics,
eight editorial cartoons, special Web content,
plus horoscopes, crosswords and comics.
By signing up with ASNE, you will have access to a
moving two weeks' worth of visual material, which is updated constantly. You
are not cut off the service after two weeks. What it means is
that after two weeks, material goes into a paid archive. Therefore, you
should check the wire at least once a week and download what you need now
and might need in the future.
More
than high school
newspapers have already signed up for the
service.
MCT -- not ASNE -- controls access to the archive. There are more than 1 million
images and stories in it. MCT charges an additional fee for access. To see
